The apostles don't see the problem: "Lord, if he has fallen asleep, he will recover." John then explains how Jesus has to back away .... In Christ we have redemption from sin and restoration--we truly have new life. The raising of Lazarus reveals that even if it seems lilke death has conquered, there is still hope.
